About
I have been involved with fiber arts and crafts since the 1960’s, first for practical reasons and then because I so thoroughly enjoyed working with fibers. I have had a commission-based weaving business, a women and children’s clothing business – always, a fiber art component to my life. After I retired in 2010, I returned full-time to my studio to work on sculptural fiber art. My work has been in shown at galleries in Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey. Washington and Texas.
Artist’s Statement
The quiet repetition of daily activities, the slight changes in patterns, textures and colors mark the day, the activity, the object, as different today than it was yesterday. Small changes make the world move forward. Weaving, knitting, crocheting, coiling are all repetitive activities gradually opening a world of change and beauty.
